Strikers SFV is founded by Alyze Pierce, a former member of the women’s Under-20 National Soccer Team, scholarship athlete at Stanford University and coach of 25 years. Coach Alyze has a masters in Sports Psychology and is an ACE Certified Personal trainer. She is also the proud mother of 3 soccer players. With her playing and coaching experience and her perspective as a parent, she has created a program for young players that is instructional, dynamic, successful and promotes the development of important life skills. Strikers SFV takes great pride in its coaching methodology and in keeping its training developmentally appropriate. The focus is strictly on coaching only elementary aged players.
Strikers SFV uniqueness is verifiable in that each team is treated as an autonomous unit. A season that best serves each individual team is established. All teams play in the Coast League from September-December. In addition to the fall season, Coach Alyze consults with each team’s parents to formulate the best option for the team. We recognize that the “one-size-fits-all” method does not work. For example, while weekly games may be the best option for our 2014 boys’ team, occasional scrimmages and monthly tournaments might be a better choice for our 2011 girls’ team. We want our players to have a passion for the game, be successful and create memories on and off of the field.
In striving to provide its players with the highest level of training possible, Strikers SFV also includes specialized speed and agility training conducted by an ex-NFL player, weekly goalie training and a once-monthly shooting clinic. Our teams also take advantage of beach and indoor soccer training and participate in a week-long summer camp with their team.
